Yellow onion shows better performance with the use of Ultrasol®ine K+Plus

Potassium nitrate +  Iodine in Yellow Onion

Ultrasol®ine K+Plus, a combination of potassium nitrate with iodine was put to the test to determine its effect in Campo Lindo yellow onion crop. The trial was carried out in Perú, which resulted in:

HIGHER YIELDS

KNO3 + iodine maximizes crop yield and quality, improves plant resistance to environmental stress and optimizes photosynthesis.  When applied via fertigation on yellow onion, a larger yield per hectare and a better bulb quality were obtained.  Research indicates that the use of potassium nitrate with iodine regulates the production of antioxidants in the leaves to avoid stress damage.  This in turn improves photosynthesis and sugar production which increases biomass and favors bulb growth.

POTASSIUM NITRATE + IODINE IN YELLOW ONION

The nutrition plan with potassium nitrate + iodine obtained a higher yield per hectare and a better bulb quality:

Conclusion:
The use of Ultrasol®ine K+Plus has a favorable effect on the quality and yield of the Campo Lindo variety onion, even in the face of a deficiency of the main nutrients.
