Zastosowanie azotanu potasu do indukcji tolerancji na sól w uprawach tykwy pospolitej

 Zasolenie ogranicza wzrost i rozwój roślin. W związku z powyższym względnie odporną na zasolenie uprawę Lagenaria siceraria (tykwa pospolita) wykorzystano do zbadania wpływu oprysków dolistnych na pokrycie liściowe i masę owoców na roślinę. W wyniku oprysku dolistnego KNO3 w stężeniu 250 ppm uzyskano pokrycie liściowe większe o 16% przy podlewaniu wodą niesłoną i pokrycie liściowe większe o 12% przy podlewaniu roztworem soli morskiej 0,2% w porównaniu z uprawą kontrolną bez oprysku (tabela 1).

Rośliny, na które zastosowano oprysk KNO3 w stężeniu 250 ppm w warunkach zasolenia 0,2% roztworem soli morskiej, nie tylko wykazały zahamowanie toksycznego wpływu soli na zawiązywanie się owoców, lecz również masę owocu na roślinę większą o 77%, natomiast w wyniku oprysku dolistnego 500 ppm KNOuzyskano masę owoców na roślinę większą o 18% (rys. 1).
